The Process
Please head on over to my contact page to check availability. When you contact me, please tell me your name, your partner’s name, where you’re getting married and your target wedding date. I will respond to you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. If I’m available for booking, I will send you a brochure with my current pricing and package options. Please don’t put off booking your wedding early! 9 to 12 months in advance gives you a much better chance of landing a spot. My calendar for large weddings usually books up a year in advance, so reach out early if I’m your first choice for photography.

If I seem like a good fit for your vision and budget, we schedule a phone call to review all of the details. I help you with everything from an estimated timeline, coverage details, answering questions about day, flow, etc… I help you fill in the blanks of how your day will potentially play out, and we determine the amount of coverage you will need. I will then put all of that in writing for you and send you a proposal for services. I’m always here to answer your questions, and having been a part of over 600+ weddings, I’m well versed in all of the wedding day issues that can arise, and will help you every step of the way to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.

Once you have secured your date with a retainer, you’re officially on my calendar! Of course if you have any questions beforehand, I’m always happy to make vendor recommendations, assistance regarding wedding clothing or shoe choices, beaches, restaurants, etc… anything to make your wedding more memorable! I will touch base with you within the month of your wedding to review final timelines, etc. We can review the finer details of your formal photo list and timeline. I’ll get your photo “must-haves”, details on first look, family formal portraits list, etc. We will make sure to cover everything so there are no surprises on the wedding day. On the day of, I will show up early, chat with you, then I’ll blend into the background while you fully enjoy every moment of the day. I’ll step in when I need to, offering a helping hand when you need. Just remember to savor the day. It goes by so fast! But don’t worry, I’ll be there to capture all of it so you can relive every moment, big and small.

Within a month you will receive your beautiful, huge wedding gallery! I have been averaging between 2-3 weeks to deliver, so as soon as I’m done perfecting your images, they will be on their way. I deliver them via Pixieset, a digital delivery service. You can share them with friends and family by forwarding the link with the PIN #, and they can download as well. You have a full print release, but I’m happy to help you with professional prints, creating an heirloom album, etc…

From the pre-event communications, to the day of, and to the post-production, Dawn made us feel that we were in good hands throughout (and the final products have proved that we were)! Dawn really cares! On the day of, she's like a big sister who wants to make the day as smooth as possible.

You have questions, I have answers!
Don’t worry, this isn’t a decision you’ll have to make alone! This is definitely an answer based on your budget and also what “milestone” moments you wish to cover. I will schedule a call with you both to review this is greater detail, and we can walk through the day and determine how much coverage you need. After our consultation, I’ll craft a custom proposal for you that includes my hourly recommendation based on all the determining factors. I have been a part of over 600+ weddings, so I am very familiar with the “flow” of a wedding day, and am happy to make suggestions. I do all I can to ensure you maximize my time and your budget!
Yes, this is part of my service. I will always supply you with an “estimated timeline” that you can review with your wedding planner/coordinator. I outline each part of the day, so you will have a clear picture of how the day will unfold, and answer the who/what/when/where of your wedding day.
In short, it’s a Family Portrait List we can work off of during the family photo portion of the day. It’s VERY helpful to have a full list of EVERY combination you wish to have me take. I don’t want to miss anyone, or any combination, so list away, and I can estimate the time it will take to finish the list. Typically it’s about a minute per combination. You can also include any "not to miss" moments such as details on a special petal toss, or your wedding day embroidered into his suit, etc... I'll be sure to capture anything specific you desire.
For larger weddings, I typically book 12-15 months in advance. In order to provide each of my couples the best experience possible, I book a limited number of large weddings per month. If you have the date chosen, book it! I will reserve your date up to two years in advance.
As for delivery of your gallery, this depends on the time of year and the length of the wedding coverage. For weddings under 3 hours, my gallery delivery time is about 3-4 weeks. For weddings over 3 hours, it’s typically 4-6 weeks. I know every couple is anxious to see their beautiful wedding photos, and I do my best to get them to you as soon as possible.
I promise it’s worth the wait, as I touch every photo and add my signature artisan edits. I appreciate your patience, and always look forward to the delivery! If you need your images RUSH delivered, please inquire prior to your wedding and I will check my availability.
Yes, I edit them simply for color correction and color enhancement only. The secret is still taking a great picture, but the “magic” and artistic flair happens in post processing. I try to give you many styles and colors, but if you have any particular dislikes, be sure to let me know. I’m always happy to go back and make subtle changes or convert additional photos to black and white, etc… I also will edit out anything distracting from the photo in regards to location. If you have any special requests regarding additional "photo-shopping", please inquire about my digital makeover packages. With digital makeovers, I am able to subtly make wrinkles and skin conditions less noticeable, eliminate bra straps and tattoos, soften suntan lines or burns, shrink double chins and shrink arm, waistlines, etc...
If you're interested any of these enhancements, please reach out! I want you to be absolutely sure you love the finished product! The best advice I can give couples is invest in some great sun shirts and hats before the wedding, and avoid the sun. Having sunburns in your wedding photos is awful, and Photoshopping is very costly!
Yes I do! I love knowing you are printing those gorgeous photos and adorning your walls with them. I’m happy to help you with ordering prints, canvases, albums and even parent albums. They love those too, and makes wonderful holiday gifts! I price all of my packages with albums as a la carte options, but happy to help with design and printing those beautiful photos in an album.
